Adopting is an act of love. Follow these recommendations to make the process safe for you and the animal.
Never pay for an animal
Any request for payment, deposit, transfer or gift card in exchange for an animal is a scam. At cachorros.info adoption is always free. If someone asks you for money, report it immediately.
Request a video call before meeting
Before travelling, ask to see the animal via video call with the poster. This verifies that the animal exists and that the person is who they say they are.
Meet in a public place
Have the first meeting in a public space and, if possible, accompanied. Do not share your address until you have established a minimum level of trust with the other person.
Request documentation for the animal
Ask for the health record, the identification chip and the European passport if the animal is vaccinated. An animal without documentation may incur unexpected veterinary costs.
Report suspicious listings
If you detect a fake or fraudulent listing, write to us at hola@cachorros.info with the link to the listing. We will review and remove it within 24 hours.
